How do I join a sub-team?

Joined a challenge but forgot to tell us what sub-team you're a part of? No worries, read on to find out how to fix it!

Firstly, this is different from fundraising as a team all on one fundraising page.
If you want to know about that, click here.

This article is specifically for when you've each got your own fundraising page, and are feeding into a team-totaliser, usually in competition with other teams!

So, if you missed the step where we ask what sub-team you'd like to be in on sign-up, or you simply changed your mind and prefer the badminton club to the tennis club, follow these steps to change your sub-group.

Note: This will only be available if the charity has chosen to use the Groups feature on the campaign.

  1. Log into your account and head to your fundraising page
  2. Click "Edit Page" at the top of the page
  3. Scroll down to where it says "Groups"
Here you'll see your main group (In this example it's "University/ Organisation" but the charity may have set it to "Region", "Department" or even "Pokemon".)

You can change your main group at any time, as well as join, create, or edit the sub-group (In this example it's called "Sub-Team").

You can then tell all your friends when they sign up which sub-group they should join when they take on your challenge.

You will then all feed into a leaderboard for that group.

PennyTip: When you're logged in, your position in the leaderboard will show at the top of the page, so you don't need to scroll if you're a bit further down than you'd like!
