If you've completed a ‘virtual ride’ from your own home & are wondering why the miles you complete whilst cycling from London to Paris (in your living room) aren’t updating
This is because on your GivePenny fundraising page, Strava is automatically set up to track ‘Ride’, the option you would choose if you were going outdoors for a real-life bike ride!
Apps such as Zwift automatically track your distance under the category ‘virtual ride’ which is not recognised by Strava as a regular ‘Ride’. If you are unable to edit the category to ‘Ride’ on your personal Strava account, the best thing to do is to manually update your miles – you can follow our handy guide on how to do this here!
